Abstracts and full manuscripts can be sent to the organising secretary's mail id with sender's mail id and phone number till DEC 15th 2016.


  • The presenting Author should be a member of TNOA & should have registered for the Conference and mention of Life Membership / Associate Membership is Mandatory.
  • Decision on inclusion of paper for Medals is at the discretion of the Scientific Committee of TNOA.
  • Abstract shall not contain more than 250 words and shall reach Scientific Committee before 30th November 2016 and the full papers on or before 15th December 2016.
  • The paper must highlight the following: Introduction and Purpose; Materials and Methods; and Results & Discussions.
  • Papers will be considered only on submission of full text.
  • If the papers is for a Medal session, the Name of the Medal for which presented should be indicated by the presenter. If not selected, kindly indicate if the paper can be selected under any other category, if applicable.

  • Candidate can apply only for one Medal.
  • A delegate can present only one paper. Poster presentation can be additional.

  • The papers meant for Medal should be submitted in the form of Scientific papers for Publications and should contain the following

    A. Abstract, B. Introduction,C. Materials & Methods, D. Discussion,E. References

  • The presenters for Medal papers should give consent for publication in the TNOA Journal, if the Editorial Board of the Journal chooses the paper of publication.
  • The time of presentation of free papers shall be 6 minutes and 7 + 2 minutes for Medal papers except for TNOA Prof. Subramaniam Medal Session where the time allotted would be 10 + 2 minutes.
  • Material for projection shall be handed over at the preview room 2 hours before the respective session.
  • Only LCD projection is available. Presentation shall be in power point 2007 format.
  • Speakers are requested to provide scientific material only in CD / Pendrives. Personal laptop will not be permitted.
  • TNOA shall have all rights to preserve the original articles submitted for scientific presentations, edit if needed and publish them in the Journal of TNOA

  • Single case reports and papers with short follow - up will not be considered for the medal.

  • Only paper from rural centers without any teaching facility shall be considered. (Rural centre is classified as one which does not fall within the area of a corporation or in the area of a Medical College)

  • Contestant should have had a minimum experience of five years in the practice of Orthopaedics after qualifying in Orthopaedics.
  • The presentation should be an original work by the author himself in any subspeciality.
